GUI

For a good user experience, we developed the SmartGlove Graphical User Interface (GUI). The user-friendly web application is built on the Python package Streamlit. The Streamlit server runs, just like the Bridge software, on the headless Nvidia Jetson hardware. The GUI can be used from any smart device with a web browser(e.g. Tablet, Laptop) connected to the local network.

The GUI offers the following three pages. The ‚Home‘ page, where connection to the robot and the glove can be established, the most relevant states of the system are shown, and log messages are displayed. As the first subpage, the ‚Settings‘ page, where the general system setup can be adjusted as well as parameters for the signal processing can be fine-tuned. The second subpage is the ‚GestureSettings‘ page. On this page the actions taken on a specific gesture can be set up.
